About IIT Indore
Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) is a public technical and research institute established in 2009 by the Government of India. Located at Simrol near Indore, Madhya Pradesh, it is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes and promotes excellence in engineering, science, research, innovation, and interdisciplinary education.
Indian Institute of Technology Indore is one of India’s newer Indian Institutes of Technology, established in 2009. Its permanent residential campus is located at Simrol on Khandwa Road, approximately 25 kilometres from Indore city. The institute provides modern academic facilities, research laboratories, lecture halls, student residences, and interdisciplinary research centres.
Its academic programmes include B.Tech degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Engineering Physics, and Space Science and Engineering. Newer undergraduate programmes include Biomedical Engineering and Data Science and Environmental Economics and Sustainable Engineering.
